A battery is a set of drums, cymbals and other percussion instruments used in most of today's musical genres to the beat. With bass guitar, bass or drums, battery is part of the rhythm of an orchestra or a band section.
The term "battery" can also refer to a group composed of several musicians playing these instruments, especially in sets called "Orchestras battery-fanfare".
